-‘Paramore - Now' video analysis.

1 . Are there any generic conventions? (eg stage performance in a steel video, dance rotine for a boyband, trimming to the beat) Are there any conventions from other styles?
This video is not so generic in the genre of rock music. In comparison to different Paramore videos there isn't an element of stage overall performance in a facility or any instruments involved. For most of their old videos they've been in a live show style system studio or perhaps location miming along to a ballad with bright lamps and colorful writing whilst minor storylines happen surrounding them. Instead this kind of video is placed in a battlefield filled with dirty- clothed adversaries, dust and rotten plants, making them the tale. This has frequently been required for pop music videos such as ‘Battlefield by Jordin Sparks' and ‘Jar Of Hearts by simply Christina Perri”. In a previous Paramore video for ‘crushcrushcrush' they were in a similar dirty setting miming along towards the song and allowing visitors to smash up their clothes. I feel that as the music group have a brand new start and commence to produce even more mainstream music their video clips will become less stereotypical of rock music and the band's previous do it yourself.
I feel that this video has its own elements of pop music, applying smoke bombs and colour powder
A very important factor that is often seen in a rock online video is the usage of violence and gore/blood. From this video there exists violence within the battle discipline but instead of using bloodstream they replace it with female paint powdered. I believe this is for many reasons, someone to make that more lumination hearted although also showing the band's old belief disappearing and new origins being released.
2 . Describe the style of this kind of music video. What effect does it have? A sense of arrogance has been created from the start of the video; he could be looking into the lens of the camera as though he was researching the viewer's eyes with a blank cosmetic expression and ignoring each of the chaos and drama behind him.
