Sport Technology: Muscle Origin and Insertion Essay

In human structure, the deltoid muscle is the muscle forming the rounded shape of the shoulder. Anatomically, it looks made up of three distinct units of fibers though electromyography suggests that it consists of for least eight groups that can be independently matched by the central nervous system. * Origins: upper clavicle, scapula

* Insertion: upper humerus

The superior or upper fibers from the trapezius arise from the external occipital protuberance, the inside third of the superior nuchal line of the occipital bone (both in the back of the head), and the ligamentum nuchae. The middle fibers from the trapezius come up from the spinous process of the seventh cervical (both in the back of the neck), and the spinous processes in the first, second, and third thoracic vertebrae. They may be inserted into the medial perimeter of the acromion, and in the superior lip of the detras border of the spine with the scapula. The inferior or lower fibers of the trapezius arise from your spinous operations of the outstanding thoracic backbone. From this origins they carry on upward and laterally to converge close to the scapula and end in an aponeurosis, which skims over the soft triangular surface area on the inside end with the spine. Origin: vertebrae

Installation: clavicle, scapula

Chest muscle

Origin: clavicle, sternum

Attachment: humerus

Lattisimus Dorsi

It is the bigger, flat, dorso-lateral muscle within the trunk, detras to the arm, and to some extent covered by the trapezius on its median dorsal region. The latissimus dorsi is responsible for extension,  adduction, transverse extension often known as horizontal abduction, flexion coming from an extended situation, and (medial) internal rotation of the shoulder joint. It also has a synergistic role in expansion and spectrum of ankle flexion in the lumbar spinal column. Due to bypassing the scapulothoracic joint and attaching directly to the backbone, the activities the lat has on shifting the arm can also affect the activity of the scapula, such as all their downward rotation during a pull up. Insertion: humerus

Biceps Brachii

Beginning: scapula

Installation: radius

Triceps Brachii

It can be sometimes known as three-headed muscles because there are 3 bundles of muscles, every single of different roots, joining with each other at the shoulder. Though a similarly named muscle, the triceps surae, is located on the lower leg, the triceps brachii is commonly known as the tris. Origin: scapula

Insertion: ulna

Serratus Anterior

The serratus anterior is a muscle tissue that stems on the area of the second to 9th ribs at the side of the chest and inserts along the whole anterior entire medial border of the scapula.

Origin: 8-9 ribs

Insertion: scapula

Rectus Abdominus

The rectus abdominis muscle tissue,  also generally known as " abs" or a " six pack", is a paired muscle running vertically on each side in the anterior wall membrane of the human being abdomen (and in some different animals). You will discover two parallel muscles, segregated by a midline band of connective cells called the linea alba (white line). It runs from the pubic symphysis,  pubic crest and pubic tubercleinferiorly to the xiphoid process and costal cartilages of ribs Sixth is v to VII superiorly. Origins: pubis

Installation: sternum

External Oblique

The external oblique muscle (of the abdomen) (also external abdominal oblique muscle) is the largest and the most " light " (outermost) of the three smooth muscles from the lateral informe abdomen.
